Status |
Active Entities: Entities in RioSEO that are currently open and operating. An entity that is temporary closed is still considered an active entity. Inactive Entities: Entities in RioSEO that are either permanently closed, retired, or not yet open. |
Additionally, the Entity Fields section is pinned to the “Fields” tab to provide a constant reference of this key information.
1.2: General Section
The General section contains basic information pertaining to the physical location of the entity. Fields like address, city, region, zip code, and latitude/longitude are found in this section.
1.3: Map Section
The map section allows you to set or update coordinates (lat/lng).
If the map pin is not in the correct location, drag the map pin to the correct location and click Save Coordinates. View coordinates for the map pin below the map view.
Important: Any coordinates sent via Submission API or Automated Import will overwrite the coordinates specified in the map section.
The below table identifies which directories will receive the coordinate updates you set in this Map section.
Address: The map pin of the listing is placed based off the address entered in RioSEO. The directory evaluates the address and determine the coordinates through their own software.

1.5.1: Benefits of Alternate Hours
If your entities operate on different schedules throughout the year, you can keep your primary hours the same and simply add Alternates. Alternates will overwrite your primary hours until you specify an end date. Once the Alternates expire, the system automatically resumes using primary hours. This ensures that you don’t have to make multiple updates to primary hours throughout the year.
Note: Use Exceptions to mark your entity as closed for specific holidays.
1.6: Additional Information Section
To group fields not in the five sections listed above, you can create a customizable section. These customizable sections are located beneath the Additional Information header.
For example, if you want to organize all the Google fields into a single section, you can create a customizable section called “Google Fields”.
Note: The “Uncategorized” section represents any fields that are not in a customizable section.
Important: To create a new category section under the Additional Information section, please contact your Account Director.
1.7: Change History
History of data changes can be found under the History tab. Details include the user that made the change, values that were affected, and when the change was made.
Note: If you are looking for a specific change, type a phrase into the “Search History” box. This allows the interface to filter through all changes and identify the closest matches.
For example, to see any time the hours were changed for an entity, type “hours” in the search box. RioSEO will display all changes related to hours.
You can search and filter for:
Dates
Times
Users
Sections
Once you find an entry, click the blue “View” button on the right to see more information on the change. This displays all values that were changed for this entity.
1.7.1: History Color Key
A green background indicates Values Added.
A red background with strike-through on the text indicates Values Removed.
The date, time, and user are also displayed on the View Changes detail screen.
